The river Aare was very high this year, after the heavy snowfalls. The water's surface reflects the twilight sky.

This picture was taken looking down from a foot-bridge. The steps leading down give an indication of the scale of the falls.

Also worth a visit here is Aareschlucht, a glacial gorge with a walkway which is partly suspended from the rock  wall, and partly tunneled through it.
