These started out as ordinary photographs
but have all been manipulated to produce surreal effects. This and
the next image have the same green fountain effects coming from every
orifice of these office buildings.
In this shot there appears to be fluorescent
green fronds draped over the railings, as well as pink blobs hovering
about 20cm above the concrete walkway.
Back to 3D modeling. Photographs of
Edinburgh have been applied to 3D models of the letters that make
up the name. The picture of North Bridge particularly suits the letter
N.
In this version the letters are made
of glass and are floating above a surface. The model is illuminated
by three lights in each of the primary colours. This is just one frame
of an AVI file in which the lights pass between the letters and through
the holes in the letters D, B and R.
A simpler, plainer version I thought
I might use as desktop wallpaper... If you view this with IE6 then
click on its weird hamburger icon to get rid of the tartan effect
(Expand to regular size).
