It was a warm day and this seat at the bottom of The Mound provided welcome rest for these women.

I shared a seat in Princes Street with this gentleman. He reminds me of the actor Bill Fraser who played Sergeant Snudge in an old TV comedy series called Bootsie and Snudge.

There's a story that a visitor asked a local "Say, which one of these seats is Arthur's Seat?"

Boy Soldiers pose for my camera in Waverley Station - and possibly give the two ladies a fright. (New scan of the negative done in 2005)

As far as I can remember, this bus stop was in Leith Street near the top of Nottingham Place, and I took the picture from the footbridge from the St James Centre.

Part of Edinburgh's Royal Mile, guarded by a traffic warden. The pavements are considerably narrower and the road wider than today, not nearly so pedestrian-friendly. This part is between the Tron and St Giles.

I'm not sure of the date or the identity of this pair. Any information appreciated.

This is at the bottom of The Mound next to Princes Street at the east of the Royal Scottish Academy. In the first few years of the 21st century this spot was notorious for drunks and agressive beggars. When I took this photo 25 years before, it was relatively harmless 'bible-bashers' who disturbed the peace.
