Capelaw is one of the Pentland Hills, and that's where we encountered this colourful caterpillar weaving its way through the grass.

Walking across the road near Loganlea Reservoir was this black beetle with blue  metallic highlights. It seems to be looking up at the camera. Our reflections are visible in its mirror-like surface.
