Morning mist has condensed into tiny

Swanston village on the southern edge of Edinburgh. |

This is more like the classic spider's
web, spokes and a spiral. The longest spikes on the gorse bushes are
less than 3cm. |

A very 'busy' image with lots of fine
detail and millions of tiny water droplets clinging to the filaments
of the spider's web. |

Not quite as crowded as the previous
picture. Here the water droplets are more ordered. Large droplets,
some maybe 2mm in size, are concentrated on the lower left and the
really miniscule ones are on the upper right. |

Photographed on August 4th 2002 beside
the road from Flotterstone past Glencorse Reservoir in the Pentland
Hills near Edinburgh. This cute little reptile was about 4 inches
/ 10 cm long from nose to tail. |

The lizard had chosen to bask in the
sunshine on top of the wooden gate that stands at the bottom of the
path from Castlelaw Hill. Before it scampered off, I was able to switch
my Olympus E-10 to macro mode and grab a couple of quick snaps. |

April 2003. Beinn Eighe Nature Reserve. The sun
burned off the low cloud and mist but not before we stumbled (almost)
into this little toad on the footpath in Coire Dubh, west of Kinlochewe
between Liathach and Beinn Eighe. |

Both of these pictures were taken in Roslin Glen. |

Often known as Reindeer Moss despite not being a
moss at all. |
