The West Port is the street which runs east from Bread Street down into the Grassmarket behind Edinburgh Castle. The topof the hill has become the home of pubs featuring rock music and strippers.

Looking out of this close at the other (east) end of the Grassmarket. To the right of the white building, Victoria Street curves its way upthe hill to George IV Bridge and Victoria Terrace.
