Self Meer 5

Same mirror as the previous picture but with another  innocent participant in the experiment.

This time I'm holding a Minox 35mm compact. Not only was it very small, its shutter-release was virtually silent. Last 3 pix all from 1970s.
self_shades.jpg (40866 bytes) Self Shades
800 x 317
40K
Digital camera is in evidence here.
self_cow2.jpg (73168 bytes) Self Cow
768 x 576
72K
Yet another camera. This picture was grabbed from miniDV tape. The reflection is in the wing-mirror ear of this yellow cow-mobile in Zurich. There's another cow in the Swiss section.

1024 x 768

I often pop my chromium-plated spectacle case in my shirt pocket. I glimpsed this opportunity for a picture; here's the result.
dump_me2.jpg (95493 bytes) Dump Me 2
1024 x 768
94K
This is the product of: A deranged mind; Norton Ghost; a digital photo of the screen; Photoshop 5.5 and KPT6.
self_museum2K-clock.jpg (108233 bytes) Self Clock
1024 x 768
106K
I think this clock was commissioned by the National Museums of Scotland (Chambers Street) for the millennium. The convex mirror shows the Victorian galleries of the original building, as well as photographer and wife. Check out the scary figures such as the skeleton sitting on top of the mirror!
MESHface06.jpg (165265 bytes) Mesh Face
1024 x 768
162K
Various special effects here including some 3D modeling with the image used as a displacement map.
self_lindas010514.jpg (143654 bytes) Self Linda's
1024 x 768
141K
A hand-held picture taken in flattering low light at my daughter's house. I  was installing Windows ME on Linda's PC and getting bored.
w-approach04.jpg (149449 bytes) Bridge Reflect 2
1024 x 768
146K
A study of distorted reflections in the glass panels of the building opposite. Jane and I are visible in the centre.
Self Mirror Balls
1152 x 864
255K
A still life where reality copies computer-rendered virtual reality. Two black and white stone balls, and three reflective silver balls, sit on some gingham fabric. Monochromatic except for the reflections of me and my computer screen.
Self Mirror Ball 7
1152 x 864
238K
Another effort, blatantly plagiarising Escher. This is my Fuji Z1 camera, the most recent addition.
Self Mirror Ball 00
1280 x 960
235K
Another variation
