A different view of that building in
Cockburn Street. February morning sunshine is adding a golden glow.
Best of all, there are no parked cars ruining the effect. |

Blue and grey are the predominant colours
in this image. Outside the Mercado establishment, a passer-by is distracted
by the tiny blue car. |

Until such time as the Science Centre appears,
this is just a small private car park with the rear of Cockburn Street
overlooking. |

Chalmers
Close

This close leads up from Jeffrey Street
to the High Street just north of John Knox's house. Recent demolition
has revealed an unusual view of the building at the north east corner
of the Tron junction. Although it's really the Carlton Highland Hotel,
it will forever be Patrick Thomson's department store to me. |

Looking rather attractive after a good
paint job is this bull's head over the shop doorway at the corner
of St Mary's Street and Boyd's Entry. |

Nun
of the Above

"I'm a nun from Lesmahagow"
this woman has been heard to proclaim. Two unsuspecting victims are
sitting on the steps next to Trunk's Close, unaware that they're about
to be hassled by a Gouranga proponent. |
