Apparently shaped like a letter T, this clump of trees
is actually in the shape of a cross. To the left is the artificial ski slope
at Hillend. On the right is Caerketton Hill with its scree slopes. Comiston
Road (A702) is visible in the foreground. Photographed from Buckstone Snab
at the west of the Braid Hills.
Braid Hill is in the middle distance, covered in yellow
gorse bushes. Braid Hills Road runs left-right between the houses. Bonaly
is in the distance on the right. Photographed from Blackford Hill.
A view north west towards Craiglockhart Hill on the left,
and Corstorphine Hill on the right. Both Forth bridges are visible in the
centre distance. The Ochil Hills are in the background. Ben Ledi is just
visible to the left. A plane is coming in from the east to land at Edinburgh
Airport.
