	Witch 640 x 480 91K	A mile or two further up the river. Quite a deep gorge with steep paths which are dangerous if muddy. Can you see the face of a Thatcheresque witch in a white promontory on the cliff face?
	Roslin Glen 800 x 600 210K	This is down past Roslin Castle near the start of the path to Auchendinny and Penicuik. Late October sunshine.
	Roslin Cliff 1024 x 768 272K	Opposite the old Gunpowder Mills the rock strata is exposed beside the River North Esk.
	Clifftop 1024 x 768 285K	This old tree is perched on top of one of the highest cliffs on the north-west side of the Esk, opposite Hawthornden.
	Erosion 576 x 768 156K	Nearer Roslin, the path splits into two paths which eventually meet up again. The lower path actually has an old metal handrail set into the cliff-face at one point. This picture shows the past effects of water-erosion, as seen from the bottom path beside the river.
	Scots Pine 576 x 768 188K	The Scots Pine tree perches precariously on the cliff edge. And another chance to see the white witch's face from another angle...
	Red Birch 576 x 768 182K	Not looking particularly red here, but it is a Red Birch rather than Silver Birch. Under the ridge where the tree is growing, are the remains of a dry stane dyke.
	Rosslynlee 535 x 768 69K	A covered walkway connecting different parts of Rosslynlee psychiatric hospital situated roughly between Roslin and Rosewell. Reminiscent of Victorian conservatories in its construction. Probably photographed in the late 1970s.
