Water and sand creating patterns reminiscent of photographs of the surface of Mars. An idea of scale is given by faint washed-out footprints at the top.
dunbar2k17.jpg (106261 bytes) Puddles 1
1024 x 768
104K
Different sand and currents have created different patterns here, nearer the north west end of the beach.
dunbar2k20.jpg (76992 bytes) Puddles 2
1024 x 768
76K
Here the view is up rather than along the beach. The water leeching out of the sand forms warm puddles in the sunshine.
