Jailbreak! 800 x 600 88K |
That's not really true but it looks a bit like it. This was taken before the recent diversion of cash away from the prison service. |

Saughton 800 x 600 98K |
Another picture of the back of Saughton Prison. This is part of the Water of Leith Walkway between Slateford / Longstone at Inglis Green Road and Gorgie Road |

Sighthill 800 x 541 182K |
Photographed a few years ago from Riccarton Mains Road. That's the Murray Burn flowing across the recently sown field. |

Murrayburn 1024 x 768 200K |
No prizes for guessing the derivation of this place-name. This pedestrian subway passes below Murrayburn Road. |

Slateford 1024 x 768 111K |
The railway line passes below Slateford Road here. Steps lead down to Wardlaw Terrace. The brick building is the Caledonian brewery, the source of India Pale Ale and the darker beer, 80 shilling. |

Slateford
4 1024 x 768 204K |
Looking down onto the Water of Leith and the railway viaduct from the Union Canal aqueduct. This section of the walkway had only recently been finished. |

Wester Hailes 1024 x 768 163K |
This is Hailesland Road as seen from the footbridge. As far as I can tell, this road is built on top of the Union Canal, shortly to be reinstated hereabouts. |

Longstone 1024 x 768 115K |
Just north of Kingsknowe Crescent, the Union Canal passes below the railway line. A short distance further west, the canal is blocked by Kingsnowe Road, next to the level crossing. |
