In this shot a vehicle has moved from right
to left. As well as tracing patterns, its flashing lights have illuminated
a passing pedestrian on the top left of the picture. The strobe effect
has made several ghost images of this person walking along the pavement.
Taken 8 years later than the two pictures above. In this shot a woman
is illuminated by the headlights of a bus as she waits
for it to pass in Bruntsfield Place.
Both shots were 1 second exposure. The bus is further into the scene
in this second shot. At the corner is Howie's Restaurant, Merchiston
Place and Montpelier Park.
Looking west out of our livingroom window. The multi-storey
flats at Sighthill can be seen over the rooftops of Merchiston. On the
horizon on the left is Kirknewton (barely visible through binoculars)
and on the right are the hills between Wilkieston and Ratho.
