I've never been in this pub, but here's what some others have to say, here.

Morningside Road 11
1152 x 961
233K
Down in the heart of Morningside where there's a fairly complicated road junction and also the former railway station. Access used to be down the stairs between the red Barber's shop and the blue Open Door shop in the photograph.
Morningside Road 19
1024 x 768
222K
Tenement flats between Falcon Avenue and Canaan Lane line the east side of the road. The background is part of Braid Hill near Braid Farm Road.
Morningside Road 20
1152 x 864
252K
Looking north up towards Church Hill. The top of the hill is 680 metres away from the camera, but looks closer because of the 420mm equivalent lens.
Morningside Station 2003
1152 x 864

Hopefully the platforms here will soon once again be busy with commuters. A hundred years ago it was possible to travel here from Leith Central Station in 20 minutes.
An attractive old iron footbridge connecting Maxwell Street to Balcarres Street. New houses are soon (May 2003) to be built nearby on the site of a former electricity substation. There used to be a very loud hum from the massive transformer.
Mortonhall

Mortonhall Road in the Grange, one of Edinburgh's leafy suburbs. Photographed from Blackford Hill.

Myreside Rd 4

The arched footbridge over Myreside Road connects two sports grounds. In the background are the Pentland Hills.

Photographed from Easter Craiglockhart Hill at the western end of what is now Napier University and was formerly the Thomas Clouston Clinic. The field is at the east side of Myreside Road. Behind it, partly hidden by trees, is the Royal Edinburgh Hospital. The photos weren't planned like this - but I thought the comparison was quite interesting.
Newbattle Terrace
1024 x 768

Looking west towards Morningside Road. The Dominion Cinema is on the left.
The ever changing face of our local supermarket.

(The next 3 photos also appear under Edinburgh Central in the After Dark section.)

Night time roadworks at Holy Corner. The photograph shows two vehicles, a tipper lorry and an asphalt spreader. Two workmen remained stationary during the exposure and can be seen through the ghostly image of the lorry.
