Eddleston is a picturesque village beside the A703 road from Edinburgh to Peebles. This is the view from the road through the nearby Meldon Hills. These disfiguring blots on the landscape can be seen from as far away as Edinburgh Castle and East Cairn Hill in the Pentlands. | |

The A707 road from Selkirk to Caddonfoot follows the River Tweed and crosses it here on this old but serviceable stone bridge beside the Yair estate. There is a sign here for the Southern Upland Way. | |
